Why the Love U Moore foundation was started…
I remember vividly going with my mom to some of her treatment sessions. I did my best to make sure she was comfortable, had enough snacks to eat, and something entertaining for us to watch to help pass the time.
I often wondered how her sessions went when I was unable to attend. Did she still feel comfortable? Were all her needs met? Did she know that I was rooting for her and sending her love even if I wasn’t physically there? I knew that she was a warrior, but warriors need to know that they are not in the fight alone. They need to feel supported and loved; particularly while they are receiving treatment.
My mom was a warrior who showered people with love through her singing and her service to the community. Now I am showering other warriors with love in memory of her, and her courageous journey. My mom was never alone and every warrior that connects with the LOVEUMOORE Foundation will know that they are not alone as well.
To provide essential items to individuals who have been diagnosed with cancer.
To cultivate the social-emotional wellbeing of people who have received a cancer diagnosis while amplifying community support and awareness.
